Testimonials

Jim Campbell took part in our missions in Iraq and Syria twice in each country in 2016 and 2017. He is a talented journalist whose work helps local populations. Through his work, he made the Irish more aware of the plight of Syrians and Iraqis, particularly Christians. His photos show reality with part of poetry.

Director, French NGO

SOS Chrétiens d’Orient

What Jim Campbell brings to his work is complete empathy for the people he has photographed in conflict zones throughout the world. Jim is one of the few Irish snappers to make it inside the crisis zone and capture the devastation during one of his trips, he spent five weeks in Aleppo meeting ordinary Syrian people living in the bombed streets of the city.

With decades of experience as a press photographer, Jim has also worked in other conflict zones including Ukraine, Russia, Israel, and Palestine after spending decades working as a press photographer from his former base in Wexford town where empathy was a huge feature of his craft.

Crime Journalist,

Irish Independent News, and Media

Jim’s photos from conflict zones around the world have informed, horrified and saddened. His images capture a humanity all too often ignored in the horrors of war. He is a reliable and astute news photographer with a good eye. A pleasure to work with. I would recommend him without hesitation
