Daesh destroyed Christian churches and Religious sites in Iraq

The extremist group Daesh destroyed Christian Churches in Iraq, stealing the artefacts, and in many cases, the Priests were murdered. A lot of the churches were turned into training camps, living quarters, prisons, and/or torture chambers.

In many cases as the extremist group arrive at the Church, at first before entering the Churchyard, they destroy the bell tower. This is to stop a Priest from ringing the bell in a cry for help.

Then they would destroy the Crucifix on the building. They would never enter the building until the Crucifix was destroyed. Once inside, they behead all religious statues and destroy the Christian pictures.

Priest Murdered

In this Church in Qaraqosh, Northern Iraq. Daesh murdered the Priest, and his Sash was left hanging on the top of the metal Crucifix of the Church.
